Healthy Eating 101

New Year You

 Every year we make honest resolutions to better our health with our diet and lifestyle.  Here is a quick green way to start forming easy habits that ensure our well being throughout the week that eventually add up to a healthier lifestyle by the end of the year. Commit to one green smoothie a week and go from there.  You can always add more nutrients to your eating lifestyle so be in it to win it!  If you just add a handful of spinach or kale to your already easy to make smoothie, you will easily add up more green in a day.

Green Day Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
1 handful fresh baby spinach
1/2 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 ripe pear
1 scoop NOW brand plain pea protein powder
2 tablespoons hulled hemp seeds
1 tablespoon Moringa powder
1/2 cup ice optional

Combine ingredients in blender until smooth. Add ice for colder smoothie.
